Who thought preparing for a relaxing extended weekend could be so much work?!
I’m getting ready to head out to Des Moines to visit some of Dave’s childhood friends. This is a pretty big event for me as I don’t get to do the amount of traveling that I really would like to do. It’s also big because I have tons of things to get ready in such a small amount of time. You see, I also have to work tonight and there is that whole first football game of the season to contend with. Besides all of the packing, and getting the cat’s ready for my absence, cleaning of the house, and finishing of homework, I have to start & finish a baby blanket I wanted to crochet for one of Dave’s two friends who had a baby! I really hope that I get it done.
I also worry that I will get sick because every time we go out to Des Moines to visit these friends, I end up on my deathbed the next day. It’s 2 for 2 and I hope not to make it a 3.
